The Private Kingdom is a free space where I am writing about my interests, what makes me tick and what makes me think. I’m an active citizen in an ever changing world working alongside those who changes it.
I have a degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen. I’ve studied entrepreneurship in the UK as well as been a part of the Adam Smith Institute. I’ve done basic research within entrepreneurship and cluster development and my thesis ended up analyzing growth intentions among entrepreneurs.
My primary interest works around political economy and the private initiatives impacto on society. The name “The Private Kingdom” is taken from q quote originating from Joseph Schumpeter’s The Theory of Economic Development, 1911 that coins the essence of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit:
…There is the dream and the will to found a private kingdom, usually, though not necessarily, also a dynasty. The modern world really does not know any such positions, but what may be attained by industrial or commercial success is still the nearest approach to medieval lordship possible to modern man…
As a person I’m driven by the believe that humans strive for happiness and that this happiness can be achieved for all of us and for a greater good. The Private Kingdom is not only about the individuals strive for happiness and a better life but that this endeavor fuels collaboration and thus leads us to a better place.
Professionally I’m a senior consultant at the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) – working with entrepreneurship policies, innovation and education. Most of my blogposts wil be in Danish, but eventually there will be more in English.
Everything I write on The Private Kingdom is views of my own and only I can be held accountable here fore.
